The group returned to the treasure room with the broken chests and spent the night there. In the morning Varakka produced some goodberries for them to eat. They opened one of the sarcophagi and found a skeleton inside. Skandalf cast speak with dead on the skull and asked how to get through the room with the metal cage, but it did not know. When asked who it was, the skull answered that it was Zorlac’s daughter.
The group went to the cage room and read the plaque on the wall, which said to spell out Zorlac’s true name. Balbinus went inside and spelled out the name, causing both doors in the room to open. They found another room with a similar puzzle, but this time there were 99 slots and a plaque asking how many statues of St. McIver there were in the dungeon.
